Bus
There are several bus options for intercity travel in Burkina Faso. STMB provides the national bus service and they can be considered the most reliable. Of the private companies, TGV is undoubtedly the highest quality, but unfortunately they only have service between Ouaga and Bobo.
Shared Taxis
Cheaper than dropping taxis, ride with other passengers, fixed price and routes.
Dropping Taxis
Significantly more expensive than shared taxis or bush taxis, but still cheap when compared to Western standards. Make sure you negotiate and agree on a price before setting out.
Bush Taxis
In Burkina Faso there are several varieties of bush taxi: Minibuses, Peugeot taxi, and Baches (pick-up trucks). While prices for all are similar, Baches can be considered the most dangerous as there is very little protection if there is a road accident.
